MINI CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR TWO


INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
2 ounces unsalted butter, room temperature
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
1/4 cup milk
FOR THE CHOCOLATE FROSTING
1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
3 cups powdered sugar
2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate melted and cooled
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
FOR THE COLORED FROSTING
16 ounces store bought white frosting
Red icing dye

INSTRUCTIONS

FOR THE CAKE
1.Position oven rack to center of oven and preheat to 325 degrees F.
2.Line the bottom of a 4-inch round, springform cake tin with parchment paper and grease the sides.
3.To a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa,set aside.
